Rising from the Mondego River, Coimbra is a city steeped in history. It was the medieval capital of Portugal and the birthplace of six Portuguese kings. Known as the “city of students”, it is home to the oldest and most prestigious university in the country.

➔ FÁTIMA
Known for moving thousands of pilgrims, Fátima is the main place of worship in Portugal and one of the most important places of pilgrimage in the world.
It became famous in 1917, when three Little Shepherds attended the apparitions of the Virgin Mary.
The sanctuary, in neoclassical style, is a wonderful place not only for believers, but also for all those looking for a peaceful place, as it conveys an atmosphere of serenity and light.

➔ ÓBIDOS
The charming village of Óbidos is one of the most beautiful destinations in Portugal and one of the best preserved medieval villages in Europe. Surrounded by a classic wall, Óbidos (from the Latin oppidum, meaning “walled city”), has a beautiful historic center, a labyrinth of streets and houses decorated with flowers.
This beautiful village is known as the “Village of the Queens”, as it was given as a gift to D. Isabel by King D. Dinis, thus becoming the property of the Portuguese queens until the 19th century.
