GUIMARÃES

City considered the birthplace of the Portuguese nation, Guimarães has more than a millennium of history. The city takes you back to medieval times, to the beginnings of the kingdom of Portugal. The Guimarães Castle, the Historic Centre, the Mountain and the Sanctuary of Penha, all of their places have a history that makes us travel back in time.

In 2001 it became a World Heritage Site, because despite being a city that seeks modernization, the efforts made to preserve the historical heritage are continuous.

VIANA DO CASTELO

The jewel of the Green Coast, Viana do Castelo boasts a fantastic medieval centre, an attractive riverside area and beautiful beaches just outside the city. It is a city full of history and traditions, which brings together the natural beauty of the river and sea, as well as the mountains and mountains.

Viana boasts 19th-century tree-lined avenues, narrow streets lined with Manueline mansions and rococo palaces, and the extraordinary neo-Byzantine basilica of Santa Luzia, which was inspired by the Sacré Coeur Basilica in Montmartre, Paris. Pearly white, it is located at the top of the hill, where you can see breathtaking views offered by the sea and the Lima River.
